Author’s notes: for the first three chapters, there’s a different system—Point of Views/Perspectives. These will only appear twice (once here), only used for a battle with Iblis between Sonic, Silver, and Shadow. (In other words, while all three characters are fighting at once I can only focus on one of them at a time, but that doesn’t mean the other two have stopped battling). Also, I’m sorry that Silver gets a shorter intro battle—you try writing it, and you’ll see how hard it is.

 

(Chapter 8 continuity. Perspective: All).

 

Sonic, Shadow, and Silver all stood, quiet before the lava–like creature, or who Silver had referred to as “Iblis.” The creature first roared loudly.

 

Eggman soon revealed himself nearby “Welcome back, hedgehog…s!” he said (referring to Sonic and Shadow). “I warned you to stay away, Sonic, so now it’s time for you to die! Meet the Flames of Disaster, the new symbol of the Eggman Empire!”

 

After Eggman laughed he turned to the Iblis and commanded “Destroy this city and these hedgehogs! Leave no survivors, and destroy the rest of the planet from which I will raise the Eggman Empire!”

 

Chapter 9: Firefight. Perspective: Silver.

 

After Eggman left, Iblis roared again and the battle began. Silver quickly grabbed several pieces of debris and threw them at Iblis’ head. Iblis, showing no visible signs of damage but visible anger, looked at him and opened its mouth, shooting two rocks out of it. Silver quickly grabbed them and threw them back at Iblis, damaging the rock of its head. Silver then grabbed several more pieces of debris and threw them at Iblis, aiming for one of its arms. The arm itself then literally “broke” off and fell into the lava below, and Iblis angrily threw back its head and thrust it forward, releasing several flames, which Silver barley blocked by using his telekinetic energy as a shield. Silver quickly disengaged and ran backwards and soon stopped as he grabbed a car and blocked several fireballs from Iblis…the steel was defiantly heat resistant, Silver thought. Silver quickly grabbed more pieces of debris and threw them at Iblis. It then revealed two new abilities: first, where one of its arms used to be a bubble appeared, and a new arm composed of lava shot out of it. Iblis ten attempted a new attack, throwing out its hand to grab Silver. The hedgehog hovered backwards, concentrating his thoughts on Iblis’ hand, which he struggled to control but managed to use it against Iblis, slamming the hand into its own head. This drained much of Silver’s energy, though, and left him open for an attack as Iblis’ other hand slammed into him, knocking him to the ground. Iblis then shot more flaming rocks, several of which Silver grabbed, but the others he blocked with the rocks he had. He then threw them all back at Iblis, as it roared in anger as Silver did obvious damage to it.

 

When he had thrown all of them, he grabbed several pieces of nearby debris and threw them at Iblis as it crossed its four arms in front of itself, blocking the attacks until it soon shot them in all directions, sending the debris flying in several directions. Iblis then wrapped his four hands around a skyscraper and in seconds literally uprooted it—all in one piece and held it above its head. It looked upwards towards the sky and roared as Silver attacked, after this looking down at the white hedgehog. Silver ran and soon realized he wasn’t going to escape, he would need Sonic’s speed for that. He turned and used his powers to rip off a door from a nearby building and hide inside of it as Iblis threw the skyscraper. Silver then saw a lava texture and then ran out of the building as Iblis uprooted at. After stopping, he bombard the creature with several cars, aiming for its head and top arms. It roared in anger, throwing the skyscraper, which Silver barley dodged by nearly diving into the other nearby building. Silver made sure to grab several pieces of debris, keeping it close but out of Iblis’ sight above the building as it was uprooted. Silver waited in there until the skyscraper was held above Iblis’ head before he bombarded it with the debris, Iblis roaring in anger as it attempted to shoot several rocks at him. Silver used them against Iblis and quickly jumped out of the skyscraper, hovering back on the ground as Iblis dropped the skyscraper on top of its head when several yellow “lights” hit it…Chaos Spears. There was also a blue blur that attacked Iblis, which also probably made it drop the skyscraper on its head. Finally then Silver then knew that he wasn’t alone: he had two other allies, if only for the moment, to help him defeat Iblis.
